Student Email Usage Policy
Secure Communication Guidelines for AstralGuard Cyber Academy Students
1. Purpose
This policy outlines the rules and expectations for the use of official student email accounts provided by AstralGuard Cyber Academy under the domain @students.astralguard.online. These accounts are provided to support secure, professional, and focused communication within the academy's learning environment.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all enrolled students who have been assigned an official AstralGuard Cyber Academy email address. The policy remains in effect for the duration of their enrollment and any period during which they retain access to academy systems.
3. Permitted Use
Student email accounts are issued solely for academic and official academy-related purposes. Acceptable uses include:
- Communicating with instructors and academy staff
- Collaborating with classmates on assignments or group activities
- Accessing course platforms such as Google Classroom, Google Meet, and Google Drive
- Submitting coursework or receiving feedback
- Participating in official academy events or forums
- Receiving updates or notices from AstralGuard Cyber Academy
4. Prohibited Use
The following actions are strictly prohibited:
- Using the student email to register for external, non-academic platforms (e.g., social media, forums, online marketplaces)
- Sending spam, promotional messages, or mass unsolicited emails
- Sharing or forwarding malicious links, attachments, or harmful content
- Impersonating AstralGuard staff, students, or other users
- Using the account for illegal, fraudulent, or unethical activity
- Engaging in hate speech, harassment, or bullying
- Participating in political campaigns, activism, or commercial promotion
- Connecting the email to third-party services unrelated to AstralGuard (e.g., dating sites, gambling platforms)
5. Email Security
Students are expected to take responsibility for the security of their accounts:
- Do not share your password with anyone
- Use strong, unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication if prompted
- Log out after accessing your email from public or shared devices
- Report any suspicious activity to the academy IT administrator immediately
6. Monitoring & Privacy
All student email accounts are the property of AstralGuard Cyber Academy. The academy reserves the right to monitor, access, and audit any email activity to ensure compliance with this policy. Students should not expect personal privacy when using these accounts.
SECURITY NOTICE
All email communications are logged and may be reviewed for security and compliance purposes. Suspicious activity will trigger automated security protocols.
7. Violations & Consequences
Any misuse of the student email account may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to:
- Temporary or permanent deactivation of the email account
- Suspension of access to academy platforms
- Reporting to relevant administrative or legal authorities
In cases of serious or repeated violations, students may face expulsion or legal consequences, depending on the nature of the misuse.
8. Acknowledgment
By using your assigned AstralGuard student email, you acknowledge and agree to comply with the terms of this policy. Failure to do so may result in loss of access or other disciplinary measures.
